Software Features and Specifications

All Daybreak Technology courses are developed using the Achieve Authoring System. There are four components to the system: Achieve, Achieve Instructor, the Achieve Teacher Module, and courseware or courses.
Achieve is a dedicated browser that runs courseware and comes. with all of the courseware we develop.
Achieve Instructor is an easy-to-use multimedia courseware authoring tool, used to create and edit courseware. Achieve Instructor also performs course administration, including: record keeping, grading, course updates, and exporting of data to a Microsoft Access database.
The Achieve Teacher Module is built into the Achieve student program and performs the same administrative functionality as Achieve Instructor. There is no charge for Achieve, but the Teacher Module requires the purchase of a registration key.
Achieve Instructor and the Achieve Teacher Module can be used to administrate any number of courses over the internet or your network.

Record Keeping
The Achieve system automatically provides you with a complete record of each employee's test scores, training dates, and time spent in each course.
Individualized Training
Courses can tailored to the unique needs of individual students. After a student answers a questionnaire in the course, only the information and test questions that apply to the student appear.
Data Export
Students' data can be exported to a Microsoft Access database where it can then be integrated with your Human Resources database.
Customization
Daybreak Technology courseware can be easily modified with Achieve Instructor to fit your organization's training needs. Even though it is easy to use, Achieve Instructor has features that are not included in other authoring tools. Want to turn a photo into a special effect? No problem, there are over 450 effects to choose from. Want to embed a frame in your photo? No problem, there are 36 styles to choose from. Want a different background? No problem, there are over 1,200 to choose from. Want to put in an animation, a video, music…No Problem!
Learning Effectiveness
Students learn at their own pace and on their own schedule. Computer-based training is proven to be an effective educational tool. Research has found that students learn up to 50% faster and retain material up to 50% longer.
Updates
Course updates are sent to your students through the system. There is no need to re-install the course.
Bookmarks
Students can pick up where they left off. Thus, students can learn when they have spare time.
Easy-to-use Interface
Achieve (the student browser) is simple to use, yet has a elegant look and feel.
Immediate Feedback
Achieve gives immediate feedback when students answer lesson questions. Students can also review the material related to test questions.
Online Notes
Each student has a personal online notebook for each course.
Glossary
Students can look up the definition of course terms.
Keyword Searches
Students can search for content by a key word or by subject.
