What's New At Daybreak Technology

Achieve 7.0 Software Released

September 15, 2005 - Daybreak Technology announces the release of Achieve 7.0.

Courseware developers and students alike will notice a dramatic change in the look and feel of Achieve 7.0. The new version is full screen and has a completely graphical interface. It is much like watching TV with control buttons embedded. Other new features include:

  • Special Effects: Courseware authors can now choose from over 450 unique special effects. Most of the new effects are not available in any other systems.

  • Tracking: This feature enables courseware designers and editors to designate portions of a course for specific students only. This capability is especially important for OSHA safety courses, since a lot of the required training in a given course does not apply to all employees. With this new tracking feature, each employee gets the exact training he or she needs and nothing more.

  • Multilingual: A single course can delivered in up to 15 different languages. Once a student selects his or her native language, all the controls, content, and tests are delivered in the student's language.

  • Flexibility: Courseware developers have greater flexibility on the location and order of multimedia content.

  • Frame Maker: This feature offers more than 36 frames for enhancing graphics.

New Safety Courses Now Available

February 20, 2004 - Daybreak Technology announces the release of three new safety courses.

The new courses are Electrical Safety, Portable Tool Safety, and Welding Safety. This brings the total number of safety courses offered by Daybreak Technology to 18.

As is the case with many of the Achieve courses, Electrical Safety is actually two courses in one. One section of the courseware is for all employees who use electrical equipment and tools. A more advanced section is for employees who are qualified, or who need to become qualified, to repair and service electrical equipment.

The release of the new courseware is a major step. According to Daybreak Technology President Doug Brown, “We are now in a position to offer complete suites of safety training for most industries.”
